WHAT IS PTE?

Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) is a new, international, computer-based academic English language test. The test accurately measures the listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills of test takers who are non-native speakers of English and need to demonstrate their level of academic English proficiency. PTE Academic is endorsed by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) and a number of governments for study purposes.

Remember:

  • Test duration is 3 hours.
  • Computer and headset will be used to listen to, read and respond to questions.
  • There are twenty different question formats, ranging from multiple choice through to essay writing and interpreting information.
  • You will hear a range of accents in the test, from British and American to non-native speakers which you will encounter in everyday life during studies abroad.
