Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP)

Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) The Provincial Nominee  Programs enable the provinces of Canada to nominate individuals to get  permanent residency in Canada, based on the labor market requirement  and economic need of the particular province.

Canadian Experience Class (CEC)  

Overview : 

Canadian Experience Class is a category under which skilled workers  convert their temporary resident visa to permanent residency from Canada.  This is based on the amount of time they spent in Canada while  contributing to the economy and society. A candidate should prove a  minimum of 1 year’s Canadian Work Experience to get this visa.  

⮚ Eligibility for CEC Applicants  

In order to be eligible to apply for the CEC category, one must meet the  following guidelines.  

Work Experience  

You must have worked for 1 year in Canada or part-time with an equal  duration within 3 years from the date of application.  

The skilled worker experience can be categorized under:  

Managerial jobs (0 skill level)  

Professional jobs (Type A skill)  

Technical jobs and skilled trades (Type B skill)  

Your job can fall under NOC 0, A, or B. 

 

Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSW)

This particular program for permanent residency in Canada is for skilled  workers who would like to live in Quebec. The province has a special  agreement with the government and a separate set of rules for application.

You can apply for the QSW visa if:  

You hold a Qbc Selection Certificate, provided by the Govt of Quebec. 

You can submit a permanent residency application with PVC.

Atlantic Immigrant Pilot Program (AIPP)  

Overview : 

If you want to live in one of the 4 Atlantic provinces of Canada, and you are  a skilled worker or an international graduate, the Atlantic Immigrant Pilot  Program is meant for you. The four Atlantic provinces are:

⮚ New Brunswick  

⮚ Prince Edward Island  

⮚ Nova Scotia  

The program is an employer-driven one that is meant to help employees  get PR, and the benefits that come with it. In order to qualify for the  program, you need to be a recent graduate from a publicly funded  institution in the Atlantic Canadian region or a skilled worker who meets  the requirements of the program.  

Eligibility for the Atlantic Immigrant Pilot Program  

⮚ You need to receive a job offer in Atlantic Canada from a designated  employer.  

⮚ You can be temporarily living in Atlantic Canada for education and  recent graduate. 

 

Federal Skilled Trades Class Program (FSTP)  Overview: 

The Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) is an immigration  program for providing permanent residence to skilled workers  based on their qualifications in a particular trade. Immigration,  Refugees, and Citizenship Canada is the department in charge of  this program.  

⮚ Eligibility for the Federal Skilled Trades Class Program (FSTP) To apply for a PR in Canada based on skilled trade:  

⮚ You must meet the level of the language ability required (English or  French).  

⮚ You must have the required work experience (2 years full time or  equivalent part-time work).  

⮚ You must be skilled in a trade that meets the requirements of the  National Occupation Classification (NOC).  

⮚ You must have a legitimate job offer from a Canadian employer or a  certificate of qualification from the required Canadian authority.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada created a list of skilled  trades eligible under the National Occupation Classification: 

Major Groups:  

Group 72: Electrical, Industrial and Construction trades 

Group 73: Maintenance and Equipment Operation trades 

Group 82: Technical jobs in natural resources, agriculture, and such  productions and supervisors for that.  

Group 92: Processing, Utility and Manufacturing Supervisors, and Central  Control Operators.
